Softball: Saints earn all-conference honors

Spokane, WA – Saint Martin’s had three players named
to the 2007 Great Northwest Athletic Conference all-conference second
team as well as two more who received honorable mention as announced by
the conference office Monday.
Tana Lingl, Holly Morris, and Kirstin Davidson were
the second team selections. Lingl was one of two pitchers selected. She
threw 161 innings for the Saints in 26 starts and posted a 4.35 earned
run average while striking out 84, fourth in the GNAC.
Morris was selected at first base. She batted .225
for the Saints with three home runs and a .309 slugging percentage.
Davidson was selected as one of four second team
outfielders. She posted a .290 batting average with 36 hits and 13 runs
batted in.
Receiving honorable mention were catcher Danni
Ballard and designated player Kristi Sigafoos. Ballard batted .305 with
36 hits and 13 runs batted in. She hit four homeruns for the Saints and
had a .475 slugging percentage. Sigafoos had a .253 batting average with
22 hits, six of which were doubles.
