Softball: Saints place four on GNAC All-Academic team, Nass and Lingl
repeat selections

Lacey, WA --- Four Saint Martin's University
softball players have been named to the Great Northwest Athletic
Conference Softball Academic All-Star team announced on Wednesday.
Two Saints were honored for the second straight
year, Krishanna Nass (Sr., Scappoose, OR) and Tana Lingl (Jr., Auburn,
WA).
Nass, an Elementary Education major, is maintaining
a 3.49 grade point average. As the lone senior, she is leading the team
with a .293 batting average.
Lingl is maintaining a 3.40 grade point average as a
Business major. On the mound, Lingl averages 4.21 strikeouts per game.
Also named to the team were Halley Cey (So.,
Spokane, WA) with a 3.44 GPA, and Karen Waznis (Jr., Avondale, AZ) who
carries a 3.43 GPA as an Elementary Education major.
Cey is the team leader in stolen bases with six and
runner-up with a .254 batting average.
All letter winners who are in at least their second
year of competition and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of
3.20 are eligible to be selected to the team.
Saint Martin's (7-36, 3-19 GNAC) concludes its
season this Saturday, May 6, against Northwest Nazarene University
(12/2:00pm) at Saints Field. Two-time all conference performer,
Krishanna Nass, will be playing in her final collegiate game.
