Men’s Soccer: Falcons edge past Saints
September
7, 2007
Lacey, WA – Seattle Pacific picked up just one goal
late in the first half but it was enough for the win as they held off
Saint Martin’s for the 1-0 victory Friday afternoon at the Regional
Athletic Complex.
The Falcons got their lone goal in the 36th minute
as Jeff Hallenbeck scored on a cross from Colin Kosco.
The Saints took only three shots in the game, two by
Vlad Voin and one by Andy Schroeder, while SPU sent 11 toward the SMU
goal, seven of which came in the first half.
Zac Lubin spent the entire 90 minutes in the goal
for the Saints and posted seven saves on the day.
It was the first Great Northwest Athletic Conference
contest for both teams. With the loss the Saints drop to 2-5-0 while SPU
went to 4-0-1.
The Saints are home again next Tuesday when they
face Notre Dame de Namur at 1:30 at the Regional Athletic Complex.
