July 22, 2008 Spokane, WA – Saint Martin’s University claimed two 2007-08 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Academic All-Sports titles. Saints baseball earned the title for the seventh straight year while women’s basketball finished first for the fourth time in seven years. The baseball team finished the season with a team grade point average of 3.01. The Saints have landed no less then five members on the Academic all-conference team every year. Women’s basketball posted a team GPA of 3.51, earning themselves a spot on the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll, where they were eighth overall among Division II teams. The Academic all-sports standings are based on the cumulative grade point averages of all the athletes on the official team rosters.
