October 9, 2007 Saint Martin’s University will celebrate Midnight Madness on Sunday October 14th to kick-off the official start of the 2007-08 basketball season. Doors will open at 11:30 p.m. with festivities beginning at midnight. Admission will be free to SMU students, staff and faculty and $1 for community members. The men’s and women’s basketball teams will be introduced to their fans for the first time as they take part in a number of activities including inter-squad scrimmages, a three ball shootout and a dunk exhibition. The night will also be full of student contests including a hot shot competition and 3-point shootout. Raffles and giveaways will be conducted throughout the event.
