September 20, 2008 Seattle, WA – Saint Martin’s John Riak finished second in the UW Sundodger Open meet held at Lincoln Park Saturday. The men’s team took sixth while the women were ninth. Riak finished the 8k course in a time of 24:49.00, just four seconds behind winner Edward Kibet Taragon of Academy of Arts University. Josiah Price finished in eighth place in a time of 25:08.00. Spencer Hunt ran a 26:27.00 to finish 40th while Nick Harvey’s time of 26:50.00 put him in 58th. Joscelyn Minton took sixth in the women’s 6k race posting a time of 22:02.00. Annie Laweryson ran a time of 23:49.00 to place 40th. Krinda Carlson and Helen Camden were 62nd and 63rd with times of 24:22.00 and 24:25.00 respectively. The next meet for the Saints is October 4th when they head to Salem to participate in the Willamette Invite.
