Cross Country: Nine Saints named to GNAC Cross Country Academic Team

A total of 60 student athletes have been named to
the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Academic cross country
all-conference team. Saint Martin’s landed nine runners on the squad.
The Saints were led by seniors Katelynn Blume and
Robbie Wilbur both being selected to the team for the third year. Blume,
a biology major, was one of three ladies in the conference with a
perfect 4.00 GPA. Wilbur has maintained a 3.75 GPA as a Math and Biology
major over his four years.
Kaleigh Bishop and Chelsi Claussen were two of
eleven athletes who were repeat selections from last year. Bishop, an
Education major, maintained a 3.94 GPA while Claussen posted a 3.33 GPA
as a Biology major.
Also named to the squad were Jessie Dunnam, Taylor
Shipman, Jessica Pendon, Kevin Tober and Steven La Londe. Dunnam posted
a 3.54 GPA as an Elementary Education major while Shipman, who is
undeclared, has a 3.33 GPA. Jessica Pendon is a Biology and Education
major with a 3.21 GPA. Tober is maintaining a 3.35 GPA as a Political
Science major and La Londe is a Business major with a 3.30 GPA.
To be eligible for the academic team,
student-athletes must have a minimum grade point average of 3.20 and be
in at least their second year of competition at their university.
