March 17, 2008 Lacey, WA – Saint Martin’s Brandon Kuykendall was named as the Great Northwest Athletic Conference baseball Player-of-the-Week for his performance this past weekend. Kuykendall had 10 hits in 17 at bats as the Saints swept a four-game series from Montana State Billings and moved into first place in the GNAC. He posted a 1.059 slugging percentage in the series. Kuykendall drove in nine runs and scored nine times along with stealing three bases. Among his 10 hits were a double, two triples and a home run. “Brandon did an outstanding job this weekend,” said head coach Joe Dominiak. “He worked on his swing a lot this week at practice and it paid off. He has a lot of speed and power to go along with his swing.”
