Head coach Tiffany
Qunell
Coach Qunell begins her first
full season as the
head softball coach for the Saints. Qunell started last season as
assistant coach, took over as interim head coach for the remainder of
the year and was hired full time this summer. Qunell was a dual sport athlete
for California State University, participating in basketball and fastpitch. She earned NCAA Freshman-of-the-year with a .672 batting
average and was a two-time all-American, and was picked twice as Athlete
of the Month. She was also Cal-Pac Conference Player-of-the-Week. As a
senior, Qunell led her team as a captain with a record of 32-8; they
made it to the third round of the National tournament for a second year
in a row. Qunell holds her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, with an
emphasis in Physical Education Teaching and Exercise Physiology and a
NASM certification. She is in the process of obtaining her Master's
Degree in Athletic Management.
Qunell was the head Softball coach for the College
Prep School in Oakland, California compiling a winning record of 32-8.
College Prep was the only team to qualify for the Nor-Cal playoffs two
years in a row in that division. She was also the head athletic trainer,
assistant basketball coach, and taught Health and Human Anatomy classes.
Qunell has also been a member of the camp coaching staff for Stanford
University Women's Basketball for the past three years.
