Martin of Tours Society
What is the Martin of Tours Society?
In honor of the namesake of Saint Martin’s University, Saint Martin of
Tours, this select organization:
- Recognizes special members of the Saint Martin’s family
for extraordinary generosity.
- Promotes active interest and participation in the
University’s programs.
- Facilitates opportunities for members to exchange ideas
with the president and other leaders about issues critical
to the University's development.

consistent gift support to Saint Martin’s University.
Who belongs to the Martin of
Tours Society?
Approximately 70 percent of Martin of
Tours Society members are graduates of
Saint Martin’s University or High
School. The remaining 30 percent are
"friends" of various types, (i.e.
parents of students, business
representatives, etc.). While most of
the members of the Society reside in the
state of Washington, others live in
California, the Midwest, on the East
Coast and even in South America. All are
individuals who value the University’s
quality education within the Benedictine
framework of prayer and work. Society
members appreciate the balance of
education and values that prepare Saint
Martin’s graduates for a life of service
within their communities and express
their support through generous giving.
