International transfer students from United States
institutions
Students who are currently studying at a university in the United
States and would like to transfer their credits to Saint Martin’s
University to complete their studies are considered transfer
students from a U.S. institution.
Several academic
merit-based scholarships are available to transfer students
transferring to Saint Martin's University from a university or
college within the United States. Scholarships are awarded according
to the student’s grade-point average.
Step 1:
The application and supporting
documents
- Complete and submit the
online application for undergraduate
studies.
- Have official transcripts from all colleges and universities
attended sent to Saint Martin's University directly from the
issuing institution. In order to request for your transcripts to
be sent, you will have to contact your Registrar or Transcript
office.
- Applicants that have less than 60 semester hours or 90
quarter hours of credit must also mail their secondary school
transcripts (marks sheets), certificates, and test results. All
documents must be official copies, and must be accompanied by an
official English translation and an evaluation by
World Education Services (WES) or other
National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES)
approved transcript evaluation provider that includes a
credential, GPA, and course-by-course evaluation.

Step 2:
Proof of English proficiency
- All international applicants are required to provide proof of
English proficiency before being fully admitted to a
graduate or undergraduate program. Applicants who do not
possess the required proficiency but meet all other
admission requirements may be considered for admittance into a
degree program with the condition that they enroll in
intensive ESL classes until proficiency is met.
How to provide proof of English proficiency
Please see the chart below for the test scores required for full

Associates of Arts degree from a Washington community college
with a grade of B or better in English 101 and 102 will also be
accepted as proof of English Proficiency.
- TOEFL or IELTS score reports must be less than two years
old and must be sent directly from the testing
institution to Saint Martin's University. Our
school code for the TOEFL is 4674. Detailed
information about how to send score reports can
be found on the TOEFL or IELTS web pages.
- Students who do not submit an official TOEFL or IELTS score
report will be required to take an institutional paper-based
TOEFL when they arrive at Saint Martin's University and will be
placed according to their test results.

- If an applicant is accepted to Saint Martin's
University, they will be mailed an
acceptance packet that includes the
following documents:
- Official acceptance letter
- Form I-20
- Housing contract (if you will not live on campus,
you must submit the housing waiver form)
- Roommate preference form
- Orientation and arrival information
- Medical history form
- Immunization record form (Must have documentation of
two doses of the MMR immunization and Tuberculosis
negative blood test taken within the last year)
Please complete all housing and immunization forms
and mail, scan, or fax them back to the University prior
to your arrival.
