Reason why I love working at Saint Martin’s: I love the people here--they are my other family

Favorite thing about the Lacey/Tumwater/Olympia area: We now have 2 Costco stores.

Piece of advice for prospective students or applicants: Meet all deadlines!!!! It will save you money in the long run.

Favorite book and why: The Good Earth by Pearl Buck. This is the first book I ever read from start to finish in high school. I guess l liked it because it reminded me of how thankful I was to grow up in the U.S. and later how lucky I was to have a devoted husband.

Favorite movie and why: "The Three Fugitives” I love the humor of Martin Short. One of my best friends, who was parked alongside the road as they shot one of the scenes, appears in the film and it is always great to point that out to those who see the movie.

Favorite vacation/travel spot: Hawaii. I don't usually like hot weather, but the warm breezes of Hawaii are great and no one cares what you look like in a bathing suit.

I'm inspired by: People who are not discouraged when faced with obstacles in their lives.

Favorite restaurant in Lacey/Tumwater/Olympia: Brewery City Pizza. I love their Chicken club sandwich and basil/pesto dressing on their green salad.

Three things I would want with me if I was stranded on a desert island: Sunglasses, book of matches, and a large roll of duct tape

A random fun fact about me: I used to arm wrestle my sons and win (until they turned 18)
