The
oldest and largest building on campus, Old Main is the University's primary
classroom and administrative building. Its two wings also contain
faculty offices, student services offices, science labs, the academic
computer center, writing center and student and monastic dining rooms.
Alcoves throughout the building provide quiet space for study, small group
projects or a quick nap before class.

Old Main is steeped in history and lore.
Constructed in stages between 1913 and 1923, it once housed all academic
classrooms, the library, the monastery and the dormitory for what was once
an all-boys school. The college became coeducational in 1965. |
