Summer Programs

Each year the Office of International Programs and Development hosts several short-term summer programs for student groups who wish to experience American culture, and share their own culture with new friends.

Whether at Saint Martin's University for two weeks or three months, the visiting students are exposed to American life through educational workshops and classes, visits to local businesses, and tours of local sites such as Seattle and Mount Rainier. Students also have ample opportunities to meet Americans by staying with a host family for one weekend and participating in activities with local youths who take part in the programs as "Student Ambassadors".

For summer 2008 we look forward to hosting the following cultural exchange groups:

5/18-8/9 Hainan Middle School
6/15-7/12 Cheongju University
7/7-7/25 Language & Culture STEP
7/10-8/7 Shanghai Maritime University
7/10-7/14 All-China College Program-A
7/13-8/9 Sogang University
7/17-7/21 All-China College Program-B
