Bridge to success!

Summer Bridge at Saint Martin's University
A select group of Saint Martin's first-year students will have a unique
opportunity to bridge the distance between high school and university.
Working closely with faculty and staff from around campus, the Bridge
program helps students get a head start in developing the academic
skills and campus contacts necessary to succeed during their first year
in college and beyond.
The Bridge program goals are to:
-
Make students feel at home at Saint Martin's University
-
Improve academic skills in reading, writing and critical thinking
-
Become acquainted with faculty and staff
-
Meet other students and campus leaders
-
Discover the wide range of available resources on campus
Led by Saint Martin's English department faculty, Olivia Archibald,
Ph.D., and Jeff Birkenstein, Ph.D., the week and a half, live-on-campus
program integrates training in writing and study techniques all within
the social environment of the University and with the goal of helping
students succeed in their first year of college and beyond.
