Computers: guest accounts
Saint Martin's University provides numerous information
technology resources in support of its educational mission. The
college permits guests to use designated computers in the library if they
accept and sign the
Acceptable Use Policy for Guests. Please note the following
restrictions:
- O'Grady Library limits building access after 8:00
pm to Saint Martin's students, faculty, staff, and members
of the monastic community. A current Saint Martin's ID will
be required to enter the building. Exceptions may be made
for special events.
- Guests should limit their time on the computer to one
hour.
- Students, faculty, and staff always have priority for
computer usage.
- Guests will not be logged on between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm
Monday-Friday while classes are in session or after 8:00 pm..
- Guests will not be logged on at any time during mid-term
week, the final week of classes, or final exam week.
- Guests can only be logged on designated computers in the
library's Information Commons.
- Guests will not have access to scanner stations,
including scanners, CD burners, digital cameras, or other
media equipment.
Here's how to apply for a guest account:
- Print, read, and sign the Saint Martin's University
Acceptable Use Policy for Guests (PDF). Copies are also
available at the reference desk.
- Drop off the signed form at the O'Grady Library
reference desk
any time we're open and pick up your guest card, which
is valid for one semester.
- When you want to use a computer, show your guest card to
the reference staff member and he or she will log you on.
- You will be asked to update your registration
information each semester.
