Technology classrooms: facilities
The
O'Grady Library has two networked computer classrooms. The main-level
Technology Classroom has 24 student workstations, and the lower-level
Seminar Room has 18. These computers are equipped with at least 2.8
gigahertz Intel Pentium 4 processors, 40 gigabyte hard disks, DVD-ROM/CD-RW
drives, and 19 inch flat-screens. All computers run Windows XP and have the
standard Saint Martin's University computer lab
software
package. The Technology Classroom is also equipped for a
wireless Lavalier microphone.
Each classroom is equipped with the following:

Vision classroom management software
- Boxlight video/data projector
- DVD drive (instructor station)
- Headphones (in printer cabinet)
- Laser printer
- Overhead projector
- Remote presentation mouse (checkout from circulation
desk)
- Stereo sound system
- USB ports (in front on instructor station)
- VCR/DVD player
- Whiteboards
- Wolfvision document camera
Please note that arrangements for software installation
or other special technology should be made at least one month in advance, if
needed for the start of the semester, and at least one week in advance, if
needed during the course of the semester. All software installed for
an instructor must be properly licensed. Contact the library's
Technology Coordinator, Ric Kube, (360.486.8811 or by
email form),
who will coordinate the software installation with ITS.
