Scan images or documents to digital files and do advanced graphics editing and web development with Adobe software.Scanner stations in Multimedia Center

Color copier/scanner with automatic document feeder for scanning a high volume of pages to PDF (lower-level copier alcove).

  • Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Standard
    • Acrobat 8.0 Professional: create PDFs
    • Bridge: media file management
    • GoLive: Web authoring
    • Illustrator:  vector graphics
    • InDesign: page layout
    • Photoshop:  graphics editing
  • Scansoft OmniPage Pro:  Software for scanning paper documents or converting PDF files into Word or Excel files
  • Scansoft OmniForm:  Software for scanning paper forms and converting them into electronic ones

  • Intel Pentium 4 processors
  • DVD/CD burners (CD-Rs available from Circulation)
  • 140 gigabyte hard drive
  • FireWire card and cable:  Download recordings from the digital video camera or other IEEE 1394-compatible devices
    Note:  FireWire (IEEE 1394) is also available on library video-editing station (M6) and in M3, M4, M5 and L2
  • Scanners with built-in slide scanner
  • 19" LCD monitor:  Supports greater resolution for video editing

All public computers in the library run the Windows XP operating system and are installed with the standard Saint Martin's software suite (common software) and minimum hardware configuration.  Additional software and peripherals are available to the Saint Martin's community on selected computers:

Ric Kube, Technology Coordinator (360.486.8811 or by email form), can provide training and is available most weekdays 7:30 am - 4 pm.  Student workers can provide basic technical support most evenings and Saturdays.
