Audio stations

 
Use foreign language software, take advantage of various assistive technologies, or create digital audio recordings.

Location:  Library Multimedia Center, rooms M4 and M5
Reservations:  Circulation desk (360-486-8802 or circulation@stmartin.edu)
Restrictions:  students, faculty, staff, and monks only

  • Audacity: Audio recording and editing application
  • Sound Forge Studio:  Audio recording and editing application
  • Camtasia: Screen recorder (example: convert PowerPoint to video)
  • Snagit: Screen capture
  • Assistive technologies also installed
     
    Note: Camtasia, Snagit, and Webcam also available in M2

Specialized hardware

  • DVD drive
  • FireWire card and cable:  Download recordings from the digital video camera or other IEEE 1394-compatible devices
    Note:  FireWire (IEEE 1394) is also available on library video-editing station (M6), the scanner stations, and in M3 and L2
  • Headset
  • Logitech Quickcam Pro 5000: Webcam
  • Speakers
  • M5 also has a stereo system (Cassette, CD player, and turntable, and receiver with headphones)
  • USB  headset available for checkout
