How to apply

Deadlines

Applications are accepted throughout the year. However, it is in your interest to meet the following priority dates. This is especially true if you are applying for financial aid, assistantships or scholarships.


Summer/Fall priority April 1
Fall June 1
Spring November 1
FAFSA priority March 1

Application steps

Step 1: Complete the online application for graduate admission.
Step 2: Send all supplemental and supporting documents below to the Office of Graduate Studies (OGS).
  1. Check for $50 application fee made out to "Saint Martin's University."
  2. Official transcripts from ALL colleges and universities attended sent directly from the institution to OGS. International students must also submit official English translations for any transcripts not in English.
  3. Completed MAC program supplemental application.
  4. A minimum of two letters of recommendation from previous teachers, supervisors or colleagues who can comment on your potential for success in graduate level work and future effectiveness as a mental health therapist.
  5. Written statement of three to five pages (typed, double-spaced) in which you describe your academic and professional preparation for the program, reasons for desiring entrance, career objectives and examples of experience, interventions, case studies and/or specific situations that you were involved with. Important: before you write this, carefully review our admissions requirements.
  6. International students must also submit an official TOEFL or IELTS score report and a completed declaration of finances form along with financial documentation.
Step 3: Following the successful completion of steps one and two, applicants may be invited to group and/or individual interviews with MAC faculty.
