New meal plans mean more choices for students
Meal Plan Basics
To ensure you find a plan that fits, Saint Martin's Dining Service
offers 3 Meal Plans to choose from. Each Meal Plan consists of a
unique combination of board meal credits and Board Bucks. Board
Meal credits cannot be traded for retail items.
Board Meal Credits
Board Meal credits are meal credits for use during our evening and
weekend "All-you-care-to-Eat" meals in the Saint Gertrude's Dining Hall.
Board Meals are designed for a single person's use and are to be eaten
in the dining hall. Board credits may also be used to purchase
meals for friends or guests. Board Meal credits cannot be used
during winter or spring breaks. Board meal credits expire after
each semester.
Board Bucks
Board Bucks spend like cash and can be used at any time during
normal business hours to purchase either meals or retail items.
Any leftover Board Bucks will automatically roll over from your fall
meal plan to spring provided you purchase a traditional spring meal
plan. Board Bucks will not roll over when you change from a fall
board meal plan to a spring apartment plan. Board Bucks cannot be
used during winter or spring breaks.
The Long Board Plan - $1900
The Long Board plan includes 120 Board Meal credits and $600 in Board
Bucks. This plan is perfect for the student who is far from home, does
not have a lot of cash to burn, and relies on their pre-paid meals on
campus.
The Short Board Plan - $1800
The Short Board plan includes 85 Board Meal credits and $700 in Board
Bucks. This plan is designed for the student who may miss a meal every
once in a while and occasionally take off for the weekend. This plan is
also great for the student who likes to treat their visiting parents or
friends to a meal.
The Boogie Board Plan - $1700
The Boogie Board plan includes 60 Board Meal credits and $750 in Board
Bucks. This plan is the best choice for the student with a part time job
or the weekend traveler. This plan is also great for the student
involved with extracurricular activities that may keep them away from
the campus during many scheduled meals.
Commuters and Apartment Residents
Apartment Plan - $635
The apartment plan offers 30 Board Meal credits and $300 in Board Bucks.
This plan is ideal for the apartment resident or the local commuter.
This plan offers convenience for those long class and study days when
the last thing you want to do is go home and cook.
Saint's Cash
Students and staff may put money onto their Saint Martin’s I.D. card
for the convenience of quick checkout. Save time by avoiding the cash or
check hassle and save money by avoiding a $.50 debit fee. Be sure to use
all your Saint’s Cash because it will expire after one year of
inactivity.
In Case of Illness:
There is nothing more miserable than being ill and
unable to make it to meals. Send a friend with your ID card and an
authorization from your RA, and we’ll have a take-out meal prepared for
you.
Employment Opportunities:
If you’d like to earn extra income while on campus,
a job with the Saint Martin’s University Dining Services may be just
what you’re looking for. Flexible hours, competitive wages, and the
benefits of working on campus are just a few of the perks. Interested
applicants may stop by the dining services office on the bottom floor of
Old Main or call (360) 438-4563.
