| Susan Leyster, originally from Tucson,
Arizona, has lived in Washington State since 1987. Married in
1976, Susan is the mother of four children. She has served Saint
Martin's University since 1988. During that time she completed
her bachelor's degree in religious studies and a masters degree
in counseling. She has been Director of Campus Ministry since
spring 1997. |

| Nicholas Kucharik began working in Campus
Ministry his freshman year at Saint Martin’s, and was hired as
the Assistant Campus Minister 2006-2007. A Saint Martin’s
graduate (’07), Nicholas became the Associate Director of Campus
Ministry in 2007. Originally from Grants Pass (affectionately
referred to as “Oz”), Oregon, Nick enjoys good company and a
good chai latte (wink, wink)! |

Father Benedict, a monk of St. Martin’s
Abbey, has been involved with Campus Ministry on and off since
1988. He has served as Director from 1988 to 1995 and is
currently in the role of Chaplain. He has two master’s degrees
and a Doctorate in Ministry from San Francisco Theological
Seminary, 1993. He has taught in the Education Division as
associate professor and is now an adjunct professor of religious
studies in the University. Father Benedict is the author of a
number of books of poetry and the book Soulpoeting: Healing
through Poetry.
