Campus Ministry is interested in ways to collaborate with other departments and offices in the university.  Recently, we have begun to collaborate with the Music Department. 

Since 2003, Campus Ministry and the Music Department have presented a Sacred Music Concert in the Abbey Church .  This concert has featured pieces such as “When Jesus Wept”, “Jesu Dulci Memoria”, “Shalom” and “Peace I Give You.”  It is becoming an annual tradition to collaborate on the Sacred Music Concert in the fall semester.

We also collaborated with the Music Department in spring benefit concerts.  In 2003, the “Pure Water Concert”, was performed as a benefit concert to raise money to send a water purifier to Benedictine sisters in Tanzania.  In 2004, the “Hope Concert” raised funds for the local house for youth fallen on hard times, the Haven House of Olympia.  This year's spring benefit concert will be held on Friday, April 21 and will benefit Campus Ministry's Habitat for Humanity service trip to Birmingham, Alabama.
