Jonathan B. Dwyer, M.T.S., M.A.

While born and raised in the greater Boston area, Jon Dwyer has spent most of his adult life in New York and New Jersey where he has been engaged in social ministries with the urban poor and Catholic Education.  Before coming to St. Martin's he served as Chaplain to a K-12 Catholic school in St. John's, Newfoundland, his family's ancestral home.  Jon has a passion for Catholic Education and Benedictine spirituality.

Susan Leyster, M.A.

Originally from Tucson, Arizona, Susan Leyster has lived in Washington State since 1987 and has served Saint Martin's University since 1988. She has been in her current role as director of campus ministry since the spring of 1997. Susan holds a bachelor's degree in religious studies and a master's degree in counseling.

Fr. Peter Tynan, O.S.B.

Fr. Peter Tynan, O.S.B. comes to Saint Martin's University from the Midwest where he was a member of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits). Entering the Abbey in 2002, Fr. Peter brought with him a wide academic and spiritual background. In 2011 he completed his seminary studies at Mount Angel in Oregon and was ordained to the priesthood. Originally a librarian by profession, Fr. Peter also holds master's degrees in Christianity and Modern Culture, Theology and Divinity.
