Fun fact

Koinonia began in the spring of 2011. It was well attended and had a fantastic start with many people crediting it with being the highlight of their year. Being a part of a retreat like this is a great and historic opportunity! We'll see you at Koinonia II!

What is Koinonia?

Everyone in Campus Ministry is looking forward to seeing you at Koinonia II!

The Koinonia Retreat is only going on its second year at our school but it immediately solidified its place as one of the "do not miss" experiences for students at Saint Martin's University. The retreat will take place right on one of the beautiful lakes we have in our area. Besides bonding with fellow retreatants and having free time to enjoy being away from campus, you will hear stories from peers, staff and faculty and be encouraged to share your own. Koinonia provides a special opportunity for spiritual reflection and a break from the often hectic and always busy life of a Saint Martin's University student.

This retreat emphasizes community--one of our core values at Saint Martin's University. No matter how long you've been at Saint Martin's, there are always new people to meet! If you want to deepen your understanding of the Saint Martin's experience and the core values that make this University tick, this is great chance. And that's not to mention the fun you'll have gathered with friends around a bonfire or diving into the lake (if you want) on the polar bear dive!

When is it?

March 9-11, 2012. You may have to miss some classes on Friday so if you apply to attend the retreat, please notify your instructors in advance.

How do I apply?

You can download, print and fill out the Koinonia Retreatant Application.

When the application is completed, bring the application to Brian Suda or Susan Leyster in Campus Ministry and you will be set. Please do so as quickly as you can since space is limited.
