Women’s Golf: Saints wrap up play in first tournament of the year

Goodyear, AZ – In their first tournament of the
year, the Saint Martin’s women’s golf team finished sixth overall at the
two day, 16 team Grand Canyon Women’s Fall Invitational, in Goodyear,
AZ.
As a team the Saints posted 311 in both rounds for a
two day total of 622. Babe Prante led the way finishing tied for fifth
after shooting a 75 in round one and a 73 in round two. Amy Dalzell was
tied for 27th with a two day total of 156.
Lauren Roberts shot a 159 to place 35th while Alexi
Coltom’s 161 landed her in tie for 41st. Stacie Henden finished tied for
51st, shooting a 165 over the tournament.
Florida Southern College had four top ten finishers
including co-medalist Lindsey Bergeon who shot a 142 helping the
National Champion Moccasins to a first place team finish, shooting a
total 587.
The Saints’ next tournament will be October 4-5 as
they host the SMU Invitational at the Olympia Golf and Country Club.
