Women’s Golf: Prante currently tied for ninth

Austin, TX – After over three hours of delays due to
the threat of lightening the NCAA DII West Regional Women’s Golf
Tournament finally got under way Monday afternoon and by the end of
round one Saint Martin’s Babe Prante found herself in third place, but
slipped a bit on day two and is currently tied for ninth overall.
Prante, one of three individuals competing at the
tournament, shot a 75 in the first round, just three over par. After
struggling a bit with her putting she finished round two with a 79 to
put her two day total at 154, twelve strokes behind the leader.
Shraddhanjali Singh, from Tarleton State University,
is the leader at two under followed by Allison Kinser from host school
St. Edward’s University at four over.
The first group will start on the course at 8am
followed by the second group at 9am. If you would like to follow
