SMC finishes 9th at Western Invite October 18, 2004 Saint Martin's finished ninth at the Western Washington University Invitational at the Bellingham Golf & Country Club on Tuesday. The host Vikings won the event scoring 943 at 67 over. Freshman Stacie Henden shot a five-over 78 in the final round to the lead the Saints (1085) with a final score of 241 in the three round event. Maria Laraisse (245) carded a 78 as well in round two as Bridgette Kennedy (267), and Wendy Matson (332) also scored for the Saints. Saint Martin's captain Lisa Kurtzman missed the event due to illness. The Saints look forward to participating in the Cal-State Monterey Bay Invitational on October 24-26 at the Sundance Golf Club in Seaside, California.
