Volleyball: Saints fall to No. 5 ranked Seattle Pacific
September 28, 2006
Lacey, WA – Seattle Pacific proved why they are
ranked in the top ten, posting a three game sweep of the Saints, 30-13,
30-16, and 30-19, Thursday night at the SMU Pavilion. The Falcons held
the Saints to a .043 hitting percentage while hitting .340 and recording
12 service aces.
The Falcons took control of game one right away.
With the score 6-10 the Falcons established a five point lead and never
allowed the Saints to narrow the gap. The Saints battled in game two but
Seattle Pacific pulled away defeating Saint Martin’s 30-16. In game
three the Saints were down early, but fought back. A couple late runs
were too little; too late as the Falcons went on to win 30-19.
Shealun Campisi led that Saints with eight kills and
eight digs. Holly Nilson put up six kills and nine digs. Andrea Tarbet
added nine digs of her own.
The Saints are home again on September 30th as they
host the Northwest Nazarene Crusaders.
