Volleyball: Saints can’t hold on to early lead

Monmouth, OR (September 9) – The Saints took a
commanding lead but fell in five to the Wolves Saturday night at the
Western Oregon Physical Education Building 30-27, 30-21, 20-30, 22-30,
and 11-15.
The Saints came out strong in games one and two
holding the Wolves to a .154 hitting percentage. Western Oregon fought
their way back winning games three and four to tie up the match and send
it to a game five.
Saint Martin’s took the early lead in the pivotal
game five 7-4 only to see Western Oregon come back with the next five
points to take the lead. WOU never trailed again going on to win 15-11.
Shealun Campisi led the Saints with 20 kills and 15
digs for the night. Andrea Tarbet had 17 kills and 13 digs. Lisa Hall
added 15 digs of her own while collecting 50 set assists.
The Saints get ready to take on Central Washington
University September 14th in Ellensburg.
