Seniors honored as Saints drop final home stand to Seattle and Nazarene November 8, 2004 Seattle University beat Saint Martin's, 22-30, 30-27, 30-21, 30-27 at the Pavilion on Friday and Northwest Nazarene outlasted Saint Martin's, 30-18, 35-30, 31-30, 30-27, 15-10 on Saturday as the Saints honored five seniors prior to their final home match. The Redhawks overcame a first game loss to earn their eleventh conference match against the Saints despite 23 kills from Emily Wofford and 16 from Stephanie Beck. Wofford's kill count on 30 attempts and just one error set a school record for hitting percentage in a match at .733. On Saturday, Northwest Nazarene rallied from a 2-1 deficit to beat Saint Martin's as Christy Hurley led five Saints players in double figures with 20 kills. Andrea Athey had 16 kills for the Saints, while Lauren Kreiger and Beck had 11 each and Wofford contributed 10. Beck and Jacque Buchanan each had 26 digs. Saints seniors Andrea Athey, Stephanie Beck, Jacque Buchanan, Christy Hurley, and Emily Wofford were recognized Saturday in a pre-game ceremony. The Saints travel to Ellensburg on Saturday to face first-place Central Washington (25-0) in their final game of the season. GNAC Volleyball Standings
