February 1, 2008 Lacey, WA – Freshman Sam Washington and junior John Riak have been invited to compete in this weekend’s UW Invitational Indoor Meet in Seattle. The meet is primarily for Division I and invited National and International athletes and is one of the USA’s premier indoor track and field meets for the 2008 season. “To have two Saint Martin's athletes invited to compete at this meet is exciting,” said head coach Julie Sullivan. “John has been a great ambassador on the track for the school, and now we have Sam representing the Saints in the field events.” Washington will be taking part in the men’s shot put while Riak will run in the men’s mile.
