Track and Field: Riak, Timmer win two events each at Puget Sound Open

Tacoma, WA --- John Riak (Fr., Lacey, WA) and Josh Timmer (So., Tacoma, WA) each won two events for Saint Martin's Friday in the University of Puget Sound Open at Baker Stadium.

Riak won the 800 in a time of 1:56.69 and the 3000 in a time of 8:57.11, while Timmer swept the 110 hurdles in a time of 16.16 and the long jump with a leap of 21-0 3/4. Riak's 800 time and Timmer's long jump are the second best performances so far this spring in the GNAC.

Jessica Pendon (Fr., Spanaway, WA) and Janelle Probst (So., Spokane, WA) won the 800 (2:24.03) and 3000 (10:52.09), respectively, for the lone wins for SMU women.
