January 16, 2006 LACEY, WA --- Saint Martin's University men’s Track & Field standout Andy Prentice (Sr., Spokane, WA - Lakeside) has been selected as the Great Northwest Athletic Conference male Athlete of the Week. Prentice recorded a pair of outstanding times to open the 2006 indoor season. On Saturday in the UW Preview meet, he finished eighth in the men’s mile in a provisional national qualifying time of 4:10.85, the second fastest time in GNAC history. On Sunday, Prentice placed second in the 800 meters in a time of 1:54.60, just 7/10s of a second off the provisional national qualifying mark.
