Men’s Soccer: Saints outscored by Redhawks

Federal Way, WA – Seattle University put up six
goals in the second half on their way to an 8-1 win over Saint Martin’s
Sunday afternoon as the two teams traveled to Decatur High School to
play due to field conditions at home.
Going into the break Seattle University led by just
one at 2-1. They scored the first two goals of the game in the 22nd and
28th minutes. The Saints would answer back at the 39:35 mark as Chase
Franklin picked up the goal off a deflection.
The Redhawks broke things open in the second half
scoring their third goal just over a minute off a penalty kick and again
two minutes later. Jason Cascio led the way with three goals on the day
along with an assist. Jake Ellig posted one goal and two assists.
Seattle University took 10 shots in the first half
and 11 in the second to outshoot the Saints 21-3.
Saint Martin’s gets set to play Northwest University
Tuesday, October 23rd at home.
