Men’s Golf: Saints finish tied for 16th at GCU Fall Invitational

Goodyear, AZ (October 3) – The Saint Martin’s men’s
golf team tied Fort Lewis College for 16th place at the Grand Canyon
Fall Invitational on Tuesday. The team shot a total score of 899 over
the two-day, three-round tournament.
Cal State Stanislaus took the team title recording a
total 18 under par at 846. Grand Canyon University was second at 856 and
Abilene Christian finished third with 859.
Three players battled to a 54-hole standstill and
were tied at the end of regulation play with 10-under par 206. CSU
Bakersfield's Brady Baguio (68-69-69) came out on top with a birdie on
the second playoff hole to claim medalist honors.
Olof Rosborg led the Saints finishing tied for 28th
with a 219, just three over par. John Eisentrout tied for 53rd with a
224 while Peter Perkins ended the tournament with a 226 putting him tied
for 63rd. Hiro Nezu and Justin Lanman both finished with a combined 234.
The Saints have a short break before returning to
action October 22 when they head to Santa Rosa, CA to take part in the
Sonoma State Tournament.
