Saints take third at Washington National Winter Championships

Saint Martin's took third at the Washington Winter Championships held at The Washington National Golf Club in Auburn on Monday and Tuesday.  Kris Swanson finished fifth to led the Saints shooting rounds of 79 and 70 for a five-over total of 149.  The Saints carded a combined score of 613 (+37).

The junior varsity team of the University of Oregon won the nine-team tournament in a mixed field of Division I, Division II, and Division I junior varsity squads.

National leader, Shane Prante followed a round of 80 on Monday with 71 on Tuesday to finish tied for 11th (151, +7).  The Saint Martin's Junior still tops the Golfstat Cup national standings with an adjusted scoring average of 69.33.  

Also scoring for the Saints were Derek Siesser (154, +10), Jordan Burns (161, +17), and Jared Bouchey (164, +20).  Saints Sophomore Elijah Perkins, playing as an individual, combined rounds of 72 and 81 (153, +9) to finish tied for 14th in the field of 56.
