Saints debut at #4 in national poll as Prante retains title at Western Invite October 4, 2004 Saints All-American Shane Prante successfully defended his Western Washington Invitational title at the Bellingham Country Club on September 26-27th. Prante shot rounds of 70, 65, and 71 on the par 72 course to lead Saint Martin's to a fourth place finish in a field loaded with ranked players and teams. The team performance propelled Saint Martin's into the national polls, ranking fourth behind Hawaii-Hilo, Western Washington, and UC San Diego respectively. The same trio placed ahead of Saint Martin's in Bellingham. All together, six top-20 teams were present. Also scoring for the Saints were Kris Swanson (T-14th, 215), Jordan Burns (28th, 222), Jared Bouchey (T-33rd, 225), and Hiro Nezu (57th, 240). Next up for the Saints is the Subway Invitational in Chico, California later this month.
