Men’s Basketball: Saints ink Green
May 19, 2008
Lacey, WA – Saint Martin’s men’s basketball head
coach Keith Cooper has announced the signing of Jeremy Green to a
National Letter of Intent.
Green, a senior out of Kentwood High School in
Covington, WA, averaged 14 points per game for the Conquerors this past
season. The 6’8” forward earned first-team all-SPSL North honors as well
as third-team all-State honors from Northwesthoops.com.
“Jeremy was the player we wanted all year to replace
Brendan Campbell,” said Cooper. “He comes from an excellent high school
program and is used to playing against high level competition. He is a
very versatile player who can play all three frontline positions and is
a skilled offensive and defensive player.”
Green is the second signing for the Saints joining
all-State guard Brady Bomber who signed during the fall.
“Jeremy and Brady give us two more excellent
freshmen to go along with last year’s freshman class, which included
GNAC Freshman-of-the-Year Blake Poole. They will both be good players in
the GNAC and fun to watch for the next four years,” said Cooper.
