Saints compete in regional meet, Prentice earns all-region honors

The Saints men placed 13th and the women 16th in the NCAA Division II West Regional cross country meet at Lake Padden in Bellingham on Saturday.  Saints senior Andy Prentice ran the 10,000 meter course in 33:44 to finish 15th and qualify for all-region honors.

Chico State University easily defended their national championships in both the men's and women's races.

Saints freshman Janelle Probst ran the 6,000 meter course in 25:04 (54th) to lead the women's team.  Jessie Dunham (69, 25:37), Ann McCanick (81, 25:53), Nicole Beatty (101, 26:37), and Kaleigh Bishop (110, 27:07) also scored for the Saints.

After Prentice, Saints Brent Christensen (73, 35:50), Noe Castellon (76, 35:55), Robbie Wilbur (94, 36:45), and Seth Woods (95, 36:50) scored for the men.
