Desired Outcome:

A contract system for students on probation or conditional admit status can enhance the likelihood of successful learning outcomes.

Data Collection:

• Student interviews.
• Faculty input on student progress from enrolled courses.
• Mid semester and final grades

Interpretation of the Data:

• Some students benefit from taking 12 credits or less because it allows them to focus on course work.
• Some students do not attend class when they don’t understand a concept or fall behind.
• Some students don’t put forth their best effort.
• Some students avoid making appointments when they most need help.

Changes to implement:

• Require students to attend three out of five Learning Center workshops.
• Require a mid semester meeting if they get more than one below average midterm grade.
• Redo conditional admit letter
