Desired Outcome:

A new course that addresses “E-commerce” from a technical as well as a business orientation will enhance student understanding of a newly emerging field for computer scientists.

Data Collection:

• Student course evaluations.
• Oral reports on course efficacy by instructor

Interpretation of the data:

• Textbook, Introduction to E commerce is too business oriented.
• More technical information must be identified to supplement text.
• Power point lectures helped students understand technical complexity.
• “Pizza Delivery System” exercise helped students apply course concepts.

Changes to implement:

• Topic is viable.
• More application exercises will need to be developed.
• Better textbook should be identified.
• More course readings identified.
