Outside scholarships
There are more sources of help than just Saint Martin’s and the
government. Research local and national organizations that offer
scholarships to students, especially those who are involved in
leadership and community service programs. Some may be small, but
remember: Every little bit helps!
The Office of Financial Aid
maintains information on some outside scholarships, but you also
should try these search engines:
www.finaid.org and
www.fastweb.com.
A word of warning: Never pay for a scholarship search. The
websites listed above will do all the work a paid service will
do.
We can accept just about any outside scholarship you earn and
we won’t reduce your aid award, unless the total amount of aid
exceeds the cost of attending Saint Martin’s. If it does, we’ll
first reduce loans and student employment and only in rare cases
do we have to reduce Saint Martin’s scholarships to stay under
this limit.
