First-year scholarships
Integral to our Benedictine tradition of embracing the uniqueness
of each individual is our belief in rewarding talent and
achievement, be it academic, athletic, or artistic. Following is a
list of available scholarships. No special or additional
applications are needed unless otherwise noted. Your application for
admission gives us all the information we need to award you.
Academic Merit Scholarships
First-year merit awards are based on a combination of one’s
high school GPA and combined SAT or ACT scores.
- Chancellor’s Academic Merit Scholarship -
$14,000
- President’s Academic Merit Scholarship -
$13,000
- Dean’s Academic Merit Scholarship - $12,000
- Faculty Merit Scholarship - $10,000
- University Scholarship (awarded to all
admitted students) - $7,000
Athletic Talent Award
Students participating in our NCAA Division II athletic
program might be eligible for an award. Awards are determined
and offered by each coach and are done in strict compliance with
NCAA regulations. For details, contact the Saint Martin’s

Music and Theater Talent Awards
Students who have demonstrated interest and ability in music
or theater arts are eligible for a Talent Award. Awards range
from $500 to $2,000 and are renewable. For more information,

Arts Department at 360-438-4345.
Legacy Award
Did your mother, father, or one of your grandparent’s
graduate from Saint Martin’s? If so, you’ll receive a $2,000
Legacy Award. Be sure to list the names of all relatives who
attended Saint Martin’s on your admissions application. We’ll
verify their attendance with our alumni office and include the
scholarship in your financial aid award.
Catholic School Award
Graduates of Catholic high schools are eligible to receive
this award.
Parish Youth Leadership Scholarship
Students who are actively involved as leaders in their Catholic youth organizations
are eligible for a $2,000 scholarship. The scholarship is available for those who are not
eligible to receive a Catholic School Award. A letter of recommendation from a parish pastor or
youth group coordinator is required.
